Upon your first successful login action to your created JOIP Account, and regardless of your sign in method, the following will happen:
1). you will be redirected to the Account verification pop up where you can:
- a). enter a valid email to verify your JOIP account.
- b). if your created ORCID's account privacy setting is set to "Public", it will be automatically filled in the email field to use it to verify your account.
the email you enter to verify your JOIP account will be later used for sending JOIP emails to you by the system.
2). Click on "Verify your Email".
3). after you click on "Verify your email", the following will happen:
- you will be receiving a 4 Digit code on the inbox of the email you entered to verify your JOIP account with.
- the page will be reloaded, and a new pop up will show to you where you need to enter the 4 Digit code you received.
- if you haven't received a code in 60 seconds, a button labeled "Re-send the email" will be visible to you that if clicked will redirect you back to the first pop up to enter the same or a new email, and retry to verify it
- Note that:
if you retry to verify your account by entering a new email or keeping the used one the same, a new code will be sent to you which will make the code sent to you the first time invalid if ever received and the new one only can be used.
4). Now you'll be logged in to JOIP and redirected to the feed page with no problems, and the email you added to verify will be set as a verified and a primary email as shown in the "Contact and Basic Info" page.
