Sign up to JOIP if you don't have an ORCID account "Sign up to ORCID"

To sign up to JOIP:

1. Click on "Join Now" button on the header of JOIP
   
   
   
2. The Sign up/ sign in page will open.
3. Click on "Sign up to ORCID account" button
   
   
   
   
   
4. You'll be redirected to ORCID's sign up/ sign in page:
   
   
5. Click on "Register Now"
   
   
6. The following page will show, which includes the first stage of registration "Personal Data", Fill the fields, and then click Next.

   **Pay attention to the mandatory fields and the optional ones!
   
   
   

7. You'll get to the next stage of registration which is "Security and Notifications":

   a). Create a password for your profile and confirm it.
   **Make sure you follow the password creation rules shown.
   b). Check the box if you want ORCID to send you emails for new features and tips
   c). Click next
   
   
   
   
8. The visibility and terms page will show:
   
   
   
   
   
   

   Here you choose the default privacy setting for the new things that'll be added to your ORCID account through your JOIP account;

   1. Choose the privacy setting that suits you.
   2. Confirm that you're consent to the privacy policy and terms of use and related conditions by checking the box.
   3. Do the reCAPTCHA check and agree to the privacy policy and terms of use of ORCID.
   4. Click "Register"

   You're now registered to ORCID and logged in to your account on it.
   
   

9. Click on "Authorize access" to be logged in to JOIP and redirected to your home page.
